Grammy-winning saxophonist and composer Joe Lovano is a jazz superstar.  His profound musical voice has been expressed as a leader, elite guest, and wide-ranging collaborator. To kick off our 9th season, WJO is honored to have Joe join us as we premiere new works commissioned for this concert.

Revisiting one of our favorite concerts, we will explore the engaging rhythms and melodies of Brazil, Argentina and Spain.  Jofre Romarion returns on bandoneon and Rogerio Boccato on percussion as we delight in the works of Antonio Carlos Jobim, Astor Piazzolla and other Latin greats.
